PANACEA Biography:
PANACEA emerged in 1996 with his massive full-length Low Profile Darkness - a landmark debut that smashed headfirst into drum&bass by musically invigorating and unifying movements that artists such as ALEC EMPIRE (DHR) and ED RUSH&NICO (No U-Turn) had lead in developing. The leading member of the POSITION CHROME collective, PANACEA has gone on to release over 20 EP's and 6 LP's. Last year's full-length German Engineering (EFA 06103) was a massive success, going on to be picked by UK's Musik Magazine as one of the top 10 albums of 2001. POSITION CHROME also was nominated as International Label of the Year by the prestigious UK drum 'n' bass Knowledge Magazine. Now, he returns with his most forward release ever. Underground Stardom rolls out in true PANACEA form, with a twist towards the old skool rave themes of the early techno days. He also has enlisted the hands of San Francisco's Siren, the German industrial act WINTER KAELTE, and Berlin's DOSE D. Also featured is a truly massive remix by AMBUSH RECORDS DJ SCUD. Definitely not your typical drum 'n' bass release, Underground Stardom takes you back to the old skool and towards the new path of pop fuelled, high energy dance anthems that PANACEA is earning such a great reputation for.
